The story of
Fred Banke – Veteran, Explorer & Treasure Hunter
Fred Banke is a U.S. Navy veteran, FAA-certified aircraft mechanic, and lifelong adventurer with a passion for uncovering lost history.
After earning his A&P license from Colorado Aero Tech, he built a successful career in composite repair with FlightSafety International and consulted with both NASA and the United Space Alliance.
For two decades, Fred has explored Florida’s Treasure Coast, uncovering artifacts and stories from shipwrecks and sunken history. Now retired, his adventures continue across the country—most recently researching forts and battlefields of the Northern Plains Indian Wars.
Fred is the author of multiple books, with his work featured in local museums and available through respected outlets like Myers Metal Detectors, Digging it Detectors and Amazon.com
